βEach one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.ββ 2 Corinthians 9:7 (ESV)
Tithes & Offerings as an Act of Worship
In the Christian walk, giving tithes and offerings is a personal expression of gratitude, worship, and devotion to God. It acknowledges that all we have comes from the Lord. Giving is entirely voluntary and should be done freely and prayerfully, without compulsion or reluctance.
Voluntary & Heartfelt Giving
Scripture teaches that giving is an act of free, joyful worship before God, guided by your personal conviction and prayer, never by pressure or compulsion.
Biblical Foundation on Giving
βGive, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.ββ Luke 6:38 (ESV)
βHonor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce.ββ Proverbs 3:9 (ESV)
βBring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.ββ Malachi 3:10 (ESV)
